......... is a cosy and comfortable 4 star self-catering cottage for 4 people. Pets are welcome (at no extra charge).

It is ideally situated in the village of Beadlam, on the southern edge of the North York Moors National Park, just off the A170, midway between the lovely market towns of Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside. This beautiful part of Yorkshire offers a huge variety of places to visit and activities to enjoy. Excellent walks abound for those so inclined!

The cottage probably dates back to the 16 Century and was part of Townend Farm, a working farm until 1979. Thereafter, it was beautifully converted and modernised to form a cottage which retains its charm and character, with oak beams, numerous internal stone walls and its original lovely stone-built fireplace. It is very well insulated, having thick stone walls and double glazing throughout - so it’s warm and cosy at all times of the year.

Off-road parking for 2 cars is provided at the side of the cottage and a private enclosed garden at the front. The owners house is adjacent to the cottage. This is not a working farm.

Places to visit include the North York Moors, Yorkshire Coast, The Wolds and even the Yorkshire Dales - all within easy travelling distance. The ancient City of York is 26 miles south of Beadlam and Scarborough is 26 miles to the east. The famous North York Moors steam railway runs from Pickering to Goathland (Heartbeat village), Grosmont and Whitby. There is a wonderful variety of castles (including Castle Howard) houses and gardens in the area. The local Tourist Information Centre is in Helmsley and the owners are normally on hand to give assistance.
